One of my favourite times of year for beauty releases anyway, is Christmas. And that’s no exception for Too Faced. Their Christmas collections blow me away every.single.time! If you are a fan of the brand already, you know what I'm talking about. Continue reading to see some of my favourite Too Faced holiday products.
The Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palette had my heart as soon as I saw it. The palette contains 18 different shades which are all on the warm gold spectrum of colours. And naturally they all make you think of gingerbread when you look at them because so many of them are those nice toasty and ready-baked colours you associate with Christmas cookies. The shades in the palette range through orange and bronze, with some browns and pinks to spice things up.
The great thing about this palette, and that makes it so versatile is that it varies in finish.
There’s some shadows with a matte finish, some with shimmer and some more satin finishes. Some of the shimmers also have a more glittery edge to them as well so you really can pack a whole load of eye looks in one just from this palette alone. And as with all Too Faced eyeshadows, you get a lovely rich pigment in the formula. The shimmers and glitters are buttery and rich – one swipe is all you need to see the colour work and I love how the glittery finishes really make your eyes pop. I can imagine myself wearing this a lot in the coming party season days and nights. Because that’s the great thing about this palette – it’s got all the warm tones needed to take you from day to night with the same look. Plus the lasting power when used with a primer means the eyeshadow doesn’t budges once applied. Which makes it worth every penny in my book.
So if you’re looking for a treat this Christmas, or just love the festive ranges from Too Faced as much as me, then I can’t recommend this palette highly enough. It’s a warm-toned eye look dream, it smells DIVINE and the colours will lend themselves to looks all year long.
(Sadly, this holiday season, the brand didn't offer this palette. I bought mine in January 2020 on sale. This December the brand opted for a Gingerbread Spice Mini Eyeshadow Palette, but there are so many other gorgeous Christmas sets available to choose from, so don't be sorry!)
This holiday season the holiday collection of Too Faced is called The Enchanted Wonderland! The collection is all about a magical winter wonderland with magical animals and fairytales and romance. Each set has a unique scent which is a fun and cute touch! It’s a perfect holiday collection, especially for this year when it looks like we’ll have to spend it at home without the usual celebrations.
My attention was caught by The Enchanted Beauty Makeup Set available in two different colourways. The Unbearably Glam Makeup Set is blue themed of packaging, but the Foxy Neutrals is pink. Each of the two sets - Unbearably Glam Makeup Set and Foxy Neutrals Makeup Set includes an eyeshadow palette with 12 multi-finish shades, a miniature mascara and also a blush and highlight duo.
These limited-edition sets smell like Christmas cookies and have you covered for any fabulous holiday look.
(I opted for the Foxy Neutrals Set since it suits my skin tone better.)
Foxy Neutrals Makeup Set Includes:
- Eyeshadows in Oh What Fun!, Ginger Snatched, Last Christmas, Lump Of Coal, Jingle Jangle, Chimney, Drummer Girl, Better Not Pout, Elfed Up, Claus Out, Cookie Butter, Lady Bells
- Here For The Hos Blush
- Angel Frostbite Highlighter
- Damn Girl Mascara in Black
The Damn Girl! Mascara has a really unique and a pretty cool formula and I think that sets it apart from a lot of mascaras. It is a blacker-than-black mousse-like formula which makes it super lightweight on the lashes when you are applying it and also wearing it. You don’t get that heavy or clumpy feeling like you can with a lot of long wear formulas. It’s a flexible formula so easy to build and somehow your lashes feel soft and comfortable after application.
Also, I have always been a fan of the best-selling Better Than Sex Mascara - an intensely black voluptuous volume mascara for the sexiest, defined, multidimensional lashes possible. One coat and lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multidimensional lashes possible.
Have you tried either of these mascaras before? Which one are you leaning towards? If you haven’t tried either I would love to know your current go-to as I’m always looking out for new ones to try.
Also, every Christmas the brand offers an assortment of ornaments (see here, here and here) and crackers containing mini travel-sized products - usually mascaras and lipglosses. The packaging is as always christmassy and more unique than the previous year. Look at this cute little Gingerbread house and the sparkling mini lipgloss - pure holiday perfection and perfect stocking stuffers too!
The only thing in this post that is not from Too Faced is this makeup brushes set. It's from Essence's holiday collection and I just think that it goes perfectly well with the Christmas theme of this post. The four brushes are red and sparkly, perfect for Christmas Eve!
The New Too Faced Christmas Holiday Collection really has something for everyone. Although there is some repetition with colours and products there is a lot of originality in the collections as well! See the whole Christmas range of 2020 here.
Happy holiday shopping!
Are you a fan of Too Faced in general? Are you obsessed with their holiday collections like me or not? I for sure am addicted! And simply can't wait to see what would the brand come up with next year!
