How To Wear Red And Plaid For The Holidays

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. I love the holidays and the festivities that come with it. Everything comes alive with excitement and anticipation as we get deeper into the month of December.  This time of year I love wearing bold, bright and cheerful reds. A pop of red brings a festive touch to any holiday look, whether it’s in a simple accessory or full-on head-to-toe ensemble. The same goes for any kind of plaid pattern.
Starting today, include something red and/or plaid to your daily style and see where it takes you this holiday season.
Here are four ideas to help get you started:

Red hat

If you think that the red colour is not exactly your cup of tea, try to incorporate it in your holiday look by adding just a little red accessory like a scarf or a hat. Whether you prefer more casual, wool kind of a hat or a chic French beret, it's totally up to you. For me, I would never miss a chance to wear my red beret and pretend I'm a French even if it's not Christmas.

Red Coat

Slipping on a red wool coat over an all-cream or all-black outfit adds the perfect pop of holiday cheer. I combined mine with the red beret to fully embrace that holiday spirit. It is Christmas time after all!

Plaid shirt

If you’ve been searching for the perfect holiday top, we’ve found it for you! Nothing says Christmas like a classic flannel plaid shirt. Pair it with your favourite pair of jeans for a laid back Christmas morning with your family or combine it with a leather skirt and heels for more dressier Christmas gathering.

Red/ Plaid Bag

If anything fails you could always add a festive touch to your holiday look with a statement bag. Classic red or chunky plaid one would do the magic. Combine it with a hint of red lipstick and you are good to go!
