Must Have Accessories For Fall

There’s something about fall that always inspires me with an extra dose of creativity when it comes to accessorizing. After months of keeping my daily looks as airy and lightweight as possible, I’m always ready to experiment with textures, mix and match all of the rich colours that are so fitting for the fall, and layer my outfits in different ways.  After finally getting a taste of the cooler weather here in Bulgaria, I’m on that fall kick. You know, the one where you just want to be wrapped up in a cozy blanket next to a fire, cookies in the oven, candles burning, a hot drink in one hand and a good book in another. It’s the feeling I get when I see the changing of leaves or a foggy morning that make me love this time of year. Many of my favourite retailers are beginning to roll out their new arrivals for the season, and as I browsed through them, I could hardly contain my excitement for the months ahead. To celebrate the season, I wanted to share the Must Have Accessories I have on my list to create the perfect fall wardrobe.

Blanket Scarves

There is plenty of time to layer on cozy blanket scarves before the temperatures drop over the next few months. There is something so cozy in a big, soft blanket scarf wrapped around the shoulders in the autumn sunshine.

Hats

If you follow me for a while, you know my love for all sorts of hats - from chic berets and wide-bim hats to captain hats and caps in different shades and materials. I have collected quite a collection in the recent years that I can hardly wait to style in the coming months. If you’re not sure you can “pull off” a hat, I encourage you to find one you love and give it a try – I think you’ll be surprised by how confident it will make you feel!

Sweaters

Every September, I start to keep my eyes peeled for cozy sweaters in rich, seasonal colors. Comfortable, warm, soft, and so easy to style or layer, I’m not sure a girl can ever have too many fall sweaters! Some of my favorites from last year were a Café au lait H&M sweater and an olive green polo one in the softest wool. This year, I’m loving this subtle grey H&M sweater – I'm obsessed with the leather collar!

Chelsea Boots

From September till the first really cold autumn/winter days the Chelsea Boots are typically the first pair of shoes I opt for on a daily basis. They’re comfortable enough to walk around in all day, yet polished enough for my favourite fall outfits. I love to pair these with my favorite jeans and a cozy sweater.

Colour Of the Season

This time of year, I’m especially drawn to putting together outfits inspired by texture and neutral tones. It is the perfect time to incorporate deeper shades of greens, browns, burgundies and even soft golds into your wardrobe. An everyday outfit instantly feels refreshed when you mix and match these warm autumnal hues. In addition to that you could also consider adding something corduroy or plaid to make that jeans and a sweater combo that extra special.
