Skin Talk: The Best Serum For Acne-Prone Skin That Actually Works

I frequently experiment with different beauty and skincare products, but I also loyally keep up with a few of my go-to brands. The Ordinary was one of my favorite 2019 discoveries. I have been using a couple of their products for more than 8 months already, but one in particular really stood out to me. That's The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum. After been using it for such a relatively long time, I could swear that this is the best serum for acne-prone skin that actually works. Since I have very oily and problem skin since my teenage years, I have tried billion products from every possible brand out there. Some were good, some not so much, but this Serum is doing miracles. The interesting fact is that it is not expensive at all, so if you have been searching for the right product for acne-prone skin this definitely is the product for you.

I guess that I should not be that surprised by the results I have seen myself, since as a pharmacist I am more than familiar with the main ingredients of this product - Niacinamide and Zinc. Niacinamide is excellent for improving general skin health, it boosts skin's immunity and improves moisture retention by strengthening the epidermal barrier. Zinc on the other hand supports skin structure by healing damaged skin and encouraging the production of collagen and elastin. (That's the reason why this element is included in all food supplements on the market targeting healthy skin). Basically, using two of the most efficient blemish-battling ingredients in an ultra-high concentration formula, this light, fluid serum works to reduce both future breakouts and the appearance of existing blemishes. By controlling sebum production, pores remain clear and decongested from blemish-causing bacteria, ensuring clearer, calmer skin with prolonged use.

Have you tried this product and if so what is your opinion? I have already went through my second bottle and am waiting impatiently for it to be restocked since due to the Covid-19 pandemic it is out of stock in most online shops. Feel free to share with me if you find it somewhere available for order (Bulgaria based shop) in the comments below.

P.S. This post is not sponsored, everything is based on my personal experience.
