On the rocks

The first day we went sightseeing in the old town of Kavala, we unexpectedly found one a little bit hidden yet just a few seconds away from the Panagia Church place, that we simply couldn't believe that it exists. Right behind the House of Mehmet Ali, you'll see a double staircase, which seems to lead to the open sea in front of you.. But if you continue a little bit further, you'll find the perfect little cliff, just a couple of meters away from the lighthouse of Kavala.

Since it was late in the afternoon, the place was packed with children, who were jumping off from the cliff and swimming in the cool, turquoise water.. So, we decided almost immediately that we should come here some other day but early in the morning for a chance to be the first ones there. That's what we did just a few days later..

 ..and we got lucky!
There was not a single soul around, just the two of us and the sea for a couple of hours..

As you can see my beach style is pretty much the same every time. I simply love those retro 'pin-up girl' vibes way too much..

To be totally honest with you, I'm a bit afraid of heights and can't swim at all.. So, I spent my time there just laying in the sun and enjoying the view..

..unlike some others, who had the time of their life!

And even though the local children came up again in the afternoon, we had an amazing time while we were alone..

This is a place and a day I will never forget for sure!
